We are proud and grateful to announce that the Confederate Tribes of Siletz Indians of Oregon have continued their partnership with R3K9, this time helping with the purchase of 12 Team Wendy SAR Backcountry helmets and mounted lights, for our active members.
We selected the Team Wendy helmet because it best supports our mission requirements. We work in diverse terrains that often includes wilderness areas which are steep and treacherous.
We are developing a more robust canine disaster program in Oregon and we are training on large rubble piles that require helmet protection. In addition, we now have water search K9 teams (in part due to Siletz Tribal Charitable Fund) who need helmets when searching on Oregon rivers and lakes.

Region 3 K9 Awarded Grant from Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund!!!

R3K9 was recently awarded a grant from the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund. The funds will be used to bring in an experienced trainer this year to train and prepare several canine teams for certification in water search.
